Mitchel A. Lipton, M.D.

Dr. Lipton is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and has obtained a Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He founded The Hand Center in 1980, treating patients with upper extremity problems from all over Arizona as well as from out of state and foreign countries. Dr. Lipton has conducted research and lectured locally, nationally, and internationally. He has kept up to date with current advancements in upper extremity treatment.
He and his wife rarely miss any important event in the lives of their six children and 11 grandchildren. His hobbies include hiking, backpacking, stand-up paddle boarding, and mountain biking.

Carter B. Lipton, M.D.

Dr. Carter Lipton is an orthopedic hand surgeon who has been in practice with his father since 2009. Carter Lipton received his undergraduate degree at Stanford University and attended Columbia University in New York City, where he graduated from medical school as well as an M.B.A. program. He continued at Columbia for his orthopedic residency and a research fellowship in trauma. He then received his training in hand surgery during his fellowship at Duke University.
He and his wife live in Phoenix with their four sons. He enjoys outdoor sports and coaching his sons' team sports.
